There has been quite a lot of buzz around artificial intelligence lately and it’s appearing more and more likely that robots in some shape or another is certainly play a bigger role in day-to-day life in the future.
However, the artificial intelligence revolution has not come without warnings. Tesla founder, Elon Musk, has already spoken out about the likelihood that AI will become a threat to humans. He claims that AI development will be controlled by merely a handful of powerful corporations. This would make those companies a lot of power, and Musk has even personally invested in the AI Company DeepMind, to keep an eye on things. He is worried that developing AI too quickly and without taking proper precautions could lead to inventing something potentially very unsafe- even fatal! Musk is not alone in this thinking. Dr. Nick Patterson, a cybersecurity lecturer at Deakin University in Australia, is also very concerned about a particular type of artificially intelligent being. He’s specifically worried about the prevalence of AI sex robots. If you’d like to see what one of these potential killer sex robots is like, meet Samantha. She’s a top of the line AI sexbot. She what she’s all about in the video below:
AI sex robots are very real and are already being used, and Patterson is concerned that they may offer the easiest the possibilities for hackers to make real harm. He claims that they could be easier than a phone or laptop for hackers to gain access to and control remotely. Dr. Patterson told the Daily Star :
“Hackers can hack into a robot or a robotic device and have full control of the connections, arms, legs and other attached tools like in some cases knives or welding machines. Often these robots can be upwards of 200 pounds, and very strong.” blockquote >
“Once a robot is hacked, the hacker has full control and can issue educations to the robot. The last thing you crave is for a hacker to have control over one of these robots ! em> Once hacked they could perfectly be used to perform physical acts for an advantageous scenario or to cause damage.” blockquote > Patterson explained that everything is connected to the internet these days, and, that like your smartphone, AI sex robots will need to have an operating system and be connected to an interface. As long as this is true, there is always a style they can be hacked. Talk about an army of Cybermen! Does anyone know how to call Doctor Who? Technology is advancing at an alarming rate, and if “were not going” careful, things could get out of hand very quickly. Already, a Google AI robot has created an AI of its own that is more intelligent than anything humen had already been made. We’re getting into Blade Runner province here, folks. The new AI sex robots allegedly have different personality specifies, can mimic human voices, and can even orgasm! Although they are very expensive, their popularity is increasing as people seem quite eager to try this upgraded version of a sexuality doll. Nonetheless, Elon Musk thinks this AI revolution is a bigger menace than North Korea and is our most likely entry level into World War III. Hmm … Maybe Austin Power was on to something with all those Fembots. The AI revolution is indicating no signs of slowing down, so perhaps we will simply have to wait and insure what the future comprises, but I think it’s safe to say that little part of videotape over your webcam won’t be a great big online safety fear for long.
